Empathy and Heroes: A Tribute to Those that Mean the Most to Me
"What does it mean. . . To be a Hero?" I have always wished to speak at a TED Talk. At my old High School, every year, they would hold an event known as TEDx, a program in the spirit of the original TED Talks, allowing for people of all different backgrounds to bring forth their ideas that won't necessarily change the world, but it's more than likely that their ideas and messages will resonate in the hearts of those who listen and watch, I first watched a TED Talk in my 7th grade English class, and instantly fell in love with sharing what you want to say to the world in a meaningful and powerful way. Yet, I never got the chance to stand on my former school's auditorium, and say "Thank you for listening to my TED Talk." I was swamped in work, or had to take up tennis responsibilities in the short interval of time where people auditioned for TEDx.
